== Unordered & Unformatted - updates coming soon == Misc No behind-the-back free shots Eye-to-eye to see who goes first Closest to middle is winner If same cup is made or same distance from middle, each player re-shoots A team can change who is shooting eye-to-eye Setup The back row of cups must be a half-thumb away from edge of table Do your best to properly align the cups Bouncing No intentional bouncing Accidental bounce You shoot, miss (has to hit a cup - no airballs), bounces on table then goes in Counts as 2 cups At this point it is the other team’s fault for not hitting the ball away A shot that bounces on or makes contact with multiple cups before going in does not count as a 2 cups Eliminating A Cup Middle cup can not be the first cup made Any other cup has to be made first to open up the table Make the cup If the ball knocks a cup over, it counts as an elimination Any cup intentionally or unintentionally knocked over is eliminated Last cup can not be eliminated from Calling (2 for 1) or as a 3rd cup in Balls Back Last cup can only be eliminated by it being made or knocked over Applies to regulation and Overtime If ball gets stuck between cups All cups the ball is touching are counted as ‘made’ No more than 3 cups/round Can still shoot for balls back If another cup is made than the 3, then the made cup is 1 of the 3 that are pulled. The other 2 are 2 out of 3 that the ball was touching Shooting No dancing, talking, waving hands or other distracting things while a player is shooting TALK SMACK BETWEEN SHOTS, A LOT OF SMACK If any of these things are done during a shot, the shooting player can request a second shot If a person is talking during their teammate’s shot, that’s between teammates - no second shot allowed Rounds Each game can consist of multiple rounds, and may include Overtime No more than 3 cups can be eliminated per round A round begins when a player on a team takes a shot A round ends when both players have shot, or both balls have been shot if 2v1 Elbow Can’t call elbow unless the person is literally hanging over the table Saves A LOT of arguing Some of these arguments can end the game and the night for everyone :( Blocks No mid-air blocks Ball must hit the table or a cup before it can be blocked or swatted Calls 3 calls per person (except 2v1 - See Odd Numbered Teams) You can call any cup you want If you make it, it counts as 2 cups Defensive team gets to pick second cup Result: 2 cups gone and -1 call If you make a cup you didn’t call, your shot doesn’t count Result: 0 cups gone and -1 call Pulling If a ball is spinning inside a cup, you can pull it to take away a potentially made shot No water can come out of the cup when pulling a ball You cannot knock over the cup when pulling the ball If a cup is knocked over while pulling that cup is considered “made” Balls Back If each player on a team or the same player shooting two shots makes both shots, the team or player gets Balls Back If the same cup is made, 3 cups are eliminated. The 1 that is made and the other 2 are the choice of the defensive team Racks 2 racks per team Last cup automatically goes to back middle regardless of its location Make sure to apply the half-thumb rule as defined in Setup Can’t rack 10 cups. Must make at least 1. If you want to rack 7-9 cups, you must rack it yourself The other team can’t be bothered to rack your terrible game It must be at the beginning of your turn No racks during balls back or fire No racks once ‘game over’ If racking in a straight line, it cannot be longer than 4 cups Game Over The game is over when a player makes the opposition’s last cup If ‘balls back’ occurs on the last two cups, each player on the winning team has a chance to hit the last cup again. If either winning player hits the last cup again, there is no rebuttal If you make a cup and other team forgets to pull it, then you hit it again in any consecutive round. The game is over. You win! Rebuttal If you are the losing team and the other team has not hit a ‘no rebuttal’ shot, then you have the chance to tie Each player on the losing team gets to shoot until they miss If all cups are hit by the losing team, a tie has occurred and now it’s Overtime If the losing team makes the last cup twice, they shoot first in Overtime Fire A player is on fire after making 3 shots in a row If you are shooting for fire and it is a 2v2 game, you must shoot second - to avoid arguments about balls back if both players make shots. If your shot to get on fire is also balls back, you shoot your fire until you miss, then you take your ‘balls back’ shot Trolling If you don’t make a shot before Game Over, you trolled :( To serve your troll, you must sit under the table after the game and your friends will take a photo Overtime 1 Call 1 Rack There are unlimited overtime rounds Each overtime round starts with 3 cups in a straight line Fire does not carry over Odd Numbered Teams 2v1 is allowed Rule changes as follows 2 person team automatically goes first, no eye-to-eye 1 person team has the advantage of shooting twice in a row 1 person team plays as Player 1 and Player 2 1 person team only has 3 calls total, not 3 calls per player 1 person team can still troll if Player 1 or Player 2 does not make a shot
