When the game is ended by a team hitting the last cup, the opposite team has a chance to redeem themselves. A common exception to this rule is if the winning team ends the game by sinking both of their shots, in which case the game is over without rebuttal.

The balls are sent back to the team who has just been defeated.

It is decided if the Shoot 'till you miss rule is being played or not.

If Yes: Player 1 will shoot the ball. If it makes it in a cup, Player 1 shoots again until they miss.

IF No: Player 1 will shoot the ball, If a cup is made and cups remain, Player 2 will shoot the ball. Player 1 and Player 2 must both make their shots to get the balls back. see Send 'em back rule

If the defending team can make all of the winning teams cups, the game goes into overtime and play continues.
